Job description

We are working in partnership with a high profile public sector organisation to recruit an experienced Business Change Manager to lead and deliver high?impact change initiatives across a large and diverse user base of approximately 45,000 staff.

This role sits within a fast?paced, highly complex environment and requires a confident change professional who can operate seamlessly between strategy and hands?on delivery. You will design and implement communication and engagement approaches that genuinely reach and influence large audiences, using SharePoint and AI?enabled tools in creative, practical ways.

Key Responsibilities

Develop and deliver end?to?end business change and communication strategies.

Design engaging communication campaigns, from initial requirements through to measurable success criteria.

Use SharePoint and AI creatively to enhance communication, engagement and information access for large user groups.

Build practical, proportionate change processes that support successful adoption.

Undertake stakeholder mapping, change impact assessments and change network development.

Establish and manage effective change networks to support engagement and embedding of change.

Create and develop web/intranet content, online communications and training materials.

Develop innovative approaches to reach diverse and hard?to?engage audiences.

Apply recognised change methodologies (e.g., ADKAR) in a practical, outcome?focused way.

Deputise for senior leadership when required.

Quickly understand organisational culture and tailor approaches accordingly.

Work proactively with stakeholders at all levels to ensure change is understood, supported and embedded.

Operate confidently as a self?starter, taking ownership of deliverables without close supervision., Please do try to resist contacting us with requests for progress updates.

Requirements

Proven experience as a Business Change Manager / Change Manager.

Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Demonstrable experience designing and delivering communication campaigns.

Strong understanding of change management principles and practical application.

Experience of stakeholder mapping, impact assessments and change networks.

Practical experience using SharePoint for communication, engagement or information sharing.

Experience using AI to support communication, engagement or content creation.

Ability to design and implement effective end?to?end change processes.

Experience developing online training materials, web content and/or intranet content.

Innovative and creative approach to engaging large and hard?to?reach audiences.

Strong organisational skills with the ability to move between strategy and delivery.

Proactive, self?motivated and able to manage own workload.

Strong stakeholder management skills and confidence operating at all levels.

Ability to understand organisational culture and adapt approaches accordingly.

Comfortable deputising for senior leadership when required.

Active security clearance is essential.

Desirable

Experience within the public sector or a similarly complex, highly regulated environment.

Experience supporting change involving workforce/roster management or operational workforce systems.

Formal change management qualification (e.g., ADKAR, Prosci).
