Senior Software Engineer

The Opportunity

You will play a key role in designing, developing, and maintaining high-quality software systems that power critical business platforms. This role offers a balance of hands-on development, problem-solving, and technical leadership.

You’ll work closely with cross-functional teams to deliver new features, improve existing systems, and contribute to architectural decisions. You will also support and mentor junior engineers, helping to drive best practices across the team., * Develop and maintain scalable, enterprise-grade applications

• Build backend services and APIs using Java (Spring Boot or similar) and Node.js
• Design and implement secure, high-performance RESTful APIs
• Apply modern frontend practices including responsive design and component-based architecture
• Collaborate with stakeholders to translate business requirements into technical solutions
• Drive best practices in testing, code quality, CI/CD, and performance optimisation
• Contribute to system architecture and technical design decisions
• Mentor junior engineers and participate in code reviews
• Work within Agile teams to deliver high-quality, maintainable solutions

• 5+ years’ experience in software engineering with strong full-stack capability
• Strong experience with Java (Spring Boot or similar)
• Experience with Node.js and backend service development
• Strong understanding of REST APIs, system design, and scalable architecture
• Experience building secure, high-performance applications
• Familiarity with testing frameworks and best practices
• Experience working with Git and Agile methodologies
• Strong communication skills and a collaborative approach
