Senior Back End Developer

You’ll work closely with technical leadership to design and build the backend services powering a global platform. These systems handle device connectivity, real-time communication, and operational telemetry and must perform reliably in environments where uptime matters.

You’ll spend most of your time building production-grade services, while also contributing to architecture, reviewing engineering work, and helping guide technical standards across distributed teams and partners.

What You’ll Be Doing

• Designing, building, and shipping scalable backend services
• Owning complex problems across APIs, data flows, and system integration
• Contributing to platform architecture and technical decision-making
• Improving reliability, observability, and operational readiness
• Reviewing code and designs from internal teams and external partners
• Ensuring systems are secure, maintainable, and production-ready
• Working with cloud-native tooling (Azure, containers, infrastructure as code)

• Strong experience building and operating backend or distributed systems in production
• Solid coding skills (ideally Python and/or Node.js)
• Experience designing service-oriented architectures and APIs
• Hands-on exposure to cloud environments (Azure preferred)
• Familiarity with Docker, Kubernetes, and infrastructure as code
• Strong technical judgement and a pragmatic approach to trade-offs
• Confidence in reviewing and guiding the work of other engineers
• Comfortable working in a hands-on, senior individual contributor role, * Strong technical ownership with the ability to shape system design
