IT Hardware Audit & Inventory Technician in Belleville

Abacus Group is hiring IT Hardware Audit & Inventory Technicians to support a large-scale hardware audit across a major New Jersey hospital network. This is a hands-on, site-based role covering hospitals, medical centers, and ambulatory facilities across NJ, with technicians assigned to a home region (North, Central, or South Jersey) to minimize travel.

What you’ll do

· Conduct on-site physical audits of IT hardware (workstations, laptops, printers, network equipment, peripherals) across hospital and clinical facilities

· Record and reconcile asset tags, serial numbers, model/make, and location data against existing inventory systems

· Flag discrepancies, missing assets, and end-of-life equipment for follow-up

· Coordinate scheduling across multiple facility visits within your assigned region

· Document findings clearly for client reporting and inventory reconciliation

· Prior experience in IT asset management, hardware inventory, desktop support, or field IT services

· Comfortable working independently across multiple sites on a set schedule

· Strong attention to detail and accurate data entry/documentation habits

· Reliable transportation and willingness to travel to multiple facilities within your assigned NJ r

· Familiarity with asset management or CMDB tools a plus
