Job description
We are seeking a highly motivated Design Technology Manager to lead our firm-wide design technology practice and help shape the future of architectural delivery at Origo Works.
This is not a back-office IT role. We are looking for an architect or design professional who combines strong design judgment with advanced BIM and technology expertise. The ideal candidate is passionate about mentoring teams, improving workflows, implementing AI and computational design tools, and elevating the technical excellence of the entire studio.
What You’ll Do
- Lead and maintain the firm’s BIM standards, Revit templates, and digital production systems.
- Develop and conduct training programs for the Design staff.
- Support project teams with advanced modeling, coordination, QA/QC, and BIM execution planning.
- Research, test, and implement emerging design technologies and AI workflows.
- Collaborate with leadership on public-sector pursuits, technical presentations, and proposal development.
- Work directly with our Principal Architect, construction managers, and development team in a collaborative design-build environment.
- Contribute to select projects as a practicing designer and technical leader.
Requirements
Do you have experience in Teamwork?, * Degree in Architecture or related field.
- 5+ years of architectural design experience.
- Advanced expertise in Revit and BIM workflows.
- Strong knowledge of AutoCAD, SketchUp, visualization tools, and design technology platforms.
- Experience developing standards, training teams, and implementing new technology systems.
- Excellent communication and leadership skills.
- Interest in AI, computational design, and modern project delivery methods.
- Bilingual English/Spanish is a plus.
