Job description

We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Data Center Technician to support the operation, maintenance, and reliability of critical data center infrastructure in Savannah, GA. This role is responsible for performing preventative maintenance, troubleshooting equipment issues, and ensuring maximum uptime for mission-critical systems.

The ideal candidate has experience working in technical or industrial environments and is comfortable supporting electrical, mechanical, and IT-related systems within a fast-paced data center operation.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform preventative maintenance and corrective repairs on data center systems and equipment
  • Monitor and support critical infrastructure including HVAC, electrical, power distribution, UPS systems, generators, and cooling equipment
  • Respond to alarms, service tickets, and emergency maintenance requests
  • Conduct routine inspections and document operational performance
  • Assist with server rack installations, cabling, and hardware troubleshooting
  • Maintain compliance with safety procedures, site standards, and operational protocols
  • Coordinate with vendors, contractors, and internal teams during maintenance activities
  • Support building management systems (BMS) and data center infrastructure management (DCIM) tools
  • Maintain accurate maintenance logs, reports, and work orders
  • Participate in on-call rotation and shift coverage as needed

Requirements

Do you have experience in Organizational skills?, Do you have a High school diploma or GED?, * High school diploma or GED required

  • Technical certification, trade school training, or associate degree preferred
  • 1-3 years of experience in a data center, facilities maintenance, HVAC, electrical, or critical environment role preferred
  • Basic understanding of mechanical and electrical systems
  • Familiarity with data center operations, structured cabling, or server environments is a plus
  • Ability to troubleshoot equipment and work independently
  • Strong communication and organizational skills
