Job description

Design and develop scalable, high-performance systems for securities finance automation, including the automated locates platform
Build distributed systems and enterprise-grade applications using Java, Spring frameworks, Docker, and Kubernetes
Develop and optimize SQL-based data models and queries for high-volume transactional systems across relational databases
Integrate with messaging systems (Kafka, MQ, SQS, SNS) and Redis caching solutions for real-time data processing
Implement cloud-native solutions leveraging AWS services and microservices architecture
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration with existing securities finance workflows and legacy systems
Leverage AI-assisted development tools (GitHub Copilot, Claude) to enhance code quality and productivity
Mentor junior developers and participate in code reviews to maintain high standards

Requirements

8-10 years of professional Java development experience with deep expertise in Core Java and Spring frameworks
Strong proficiency in containerization technologies (Docker, Kubernetes) and microservices architecture patterns
Expert-level SQL skills and relational database design experience with MS SQL and/or MySQL
Hands-on experience with distributed messaging systems (Kafka, MQ) and AWS messaging services (SQS, SNS)
Proven experience with Redis caching and AWS cloud services in production environments
Strong understanding of high-performance, scalable system design for financial services or similarly demanding domains
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent professional experience; familiarity with AI-assisted development tools is a plus
