Platform Engineer

As a Platform Engineer you will collaborate with a small team to build and operate the platform underpinning its trading platforms, while developing the tools and services that enable software engineers to develop, build, test and deploy applications efficiently.

You’ll join a highly impactful Platform Engineering team working at the intersection of software engineering, cloud infrastructure and developer experience. The team plays a central role in embracing AI, evolving engineering tools and processes to better support both developers and AI agents throughout the software development lifecycle.

There’s a broad and modern technology estate including AWS, Linux, Kubernetes, Kafka, Redis / Valkey, HAProxy, Consul, Grafana, OpenSearch and Terraform, alongside development technologies including C# .Net, Python, Node.js, Bash and PowerShell. CI/CD tooling includes Azure DevOps Pipelines and ArgoCD.

• You have previous Software Engineering skills, ideally C# .Net, Python, Node.js, PowerShell or Bash
• You have strong experience with AWS and Infrastructure as Code, ideally Terraform
• You have strong Kubernetes experience
• You have a deep understanding of modern platform / cloud engineering
• You have hands-on experience using AI development tools and a good understanding of emerging AI engineering practices
• You have a pragmatic, automation focused mindset with a passion for improving developer experience
• You enjoy collaborating, learning new things and sharing knowledge
• You are degree educated in Computer Science or closely related discipline from a top tier university (e.g. Russel Group / Oxbridge)
