Team Lead Mobile Development (all genders) - simplesurance

As Team Lead Mobile Development, you will lead the engineering team for the Allyz App, reporting directly to the Head of Engineering & Product - App Development, Yuri Skliar. This role combines people leadership with hands-on mobile engineering, driving the delivery of high-quality iOS and Android experiences while maintaining a stronger focus on iOS development. You will lead a cross-functional mobile team consisting of 2 iOS Engineers, 2 Android Engineers, and 1 Senior Tester, helping shape the technical direction, engineering standards, and future evolution of our mobile platform., * Lead, coach, and develop a mobile team of iOS Engineers, Android Engineers, and a Senior Tester through regular feedback, mentoring, and career development support.

• Design, build, and maintain high-quality mobile applications using Swift and Kotlin, with a primary focus on iOS development, ensuring secure, reliable, and performant user experiences.
• Own the end-to-end delivery of mobile features, partnering closely with Product, Design, Backend, QA, and DevOps teams to deliver scalable and maintainable solutions.
• Drive engineering excellence through architecture best practices, code reviews, automated testing, CI/CD, performance optimization, accessibility, and technical debt management.
• Monitor application performance, stability, and user experience using analytics and observability tools, leveraging insights to continuously improve the Allyz App.

• Proven experience leading and developing software engineering teams in an agile environment.
• Strong hands-on mobile development expertise in both Swift and Kotlin, with deeper experience in iOS development and architecture.
• Experience building and scaling consumer-facing mobile applications, including full lifecycle delivery from design to production support.
• Solid knowledge of mobile architecture patterns, testing strategies, CI/CD pipelines, and engineering best practices.
• Strong collaboration and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to work effectively across Product, Design, Backend, QA, and DevOps teams.
