Job description
- Producing Reliability Block Diagrams and associated reliability reports to verify MTBF and MTBR assumptions
- Analysing engineering and asset data to identify trends, risks and opportunities
- Developing Excel and Power BI models to support engineering, asset management and project decisions
- Providing analytical support to a major asset refresh programme
- Supporting spares ranging and scaling activity to optimise spend and reduce supply and availability risk
- Modelling different sustainment options using real world and theoretical data
- Supporting whole life cost analysis and assessing the financial impact of engineering and asset management decisions
- Providing clear recommendations and technical insight to Asset Managers and wider stakeholders
- Working with Engineering, Supply Chain, Service Management and Project teams to identify and manage asset risks
Requirements
- Experience in ILS, Asset Management, Reliability Engineering, Systems Engineering, Safety Engineering or a related discipline
- Demonstrable experience in engineering data analysis, modelling or analytics
- Experience producing or interrogating Reliability Block Diagrams and reliability analysis
- Knowledge of MTBF, MTBR, reliability, availability and maintainability concepts
- Advanced Excel skills with experience building engineering, financial or analytical models
- Experience working with large datasets and translating analysis into meaningful recommendations
- An understanding of whole life costing and lifecycle support
- Strong analytical and problem solving skills
- The ability to communicate technical findings clearly to both technical and non-technical stakeholders
- Eligibility for SC clearance (5 years’ UK residency with no visa or sponsorship requirement)
Experience within Air Traffic Management, defence, aerospace, aviation or another safety critical engineering environment would be advantageous. Experience with Power BI, ServiceNow, SAP, FMEA/FMECA, Fault Tree Analysis or other engineering modelling tools would also be beneficial.
Benefits & conditions
The role is offered on a full-time basis, 37 hours a week in Fareham, Hampshire and offers hybrid working arrangements. The salary is offering up to 47,500 DoE, plus bonus and benefits package as well as an opportunity to train and develop further within the role.

Working across Engineering, Asset Management, Projects and Supply Chain, you’ll use real world and theoretical engineering data to model reliability, supportability and sustainment options, providing insight that helps inform investment decisions and reduce long term asset risk.
