Job description
Insight Global is seeking a Product Owner to support Bank of America’s Developer Experience (DevEx) organization within Global Technology. DevEx is responsible for delivering enterprise technical standards, services, platforms, and tools used by development teams across the bank. This team focuses on improving the developer experience, advancing technology platforms through innovation, and reducing risk through governance, automation, and enterprise architecture alignment.
This Product Owner will support strategic initiatives related to Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) modernization, including efforts surrounding Source Code Management, Continuous Integration, and Release Orchestration platforms. This role is highly focused on data-driven decision making, stakeholder engagement, backlog management, requirements gathering, and User Acceptance Testing (UAT).
The ideal candidate will be a hands-on Product Owner who is comfortable working directly with large and complex datasets, writing detailed user stories, defining acceptance criteria, coordinating UAT efforts, and partnering with business and technology stakeholders to deliver enterprise solutions.
Responsibilities

Own and manage the product backlog for multiple SDLC and Developer Experience initiatives.

Gather, analyze, and document business requirements from stakeholders across technology and business organizations.

Write detailed user stories, epics, features, and acceptance criteria for Agile development teams.

Partner closely with engineering teams to clarify requirements and ensure successful delivery.

Drive UAT planning, execution, and defect resolution activities.

Analyze and interpret large datasets to identify trends, business impacts, risks, and opportunities.

Work directly with stakeholders to understand data requirements and translate them into actionable development work.

Facilitate meetings with business partners, technology teams, and leadership to communicate priorities, status updates, and risks.

Identify dependencies, roadblocks, and risks while developing mitigation plans.

Ensure compliance with enterprise governance, risk, security, and regulatory standards.

Support Agile ceremonies including backlog refinement, sprint planning, reviews, and retrospectives.

Collaborate with Product Managers, Architects, and Engineering Leaders to align roadmap priorities with business objectives.

Requirements

5+ years of experience as a Product Owner, Business Analyst, Product Manager, or Technical Product Owner in a large enterprise environment.

Strong experience managing Agile backlogs and writing user stories and acceptance criteria.

Hands-on experience with data analysis, data mapping, data validation, and data-driven decision making.

Demonstrated experience coordinating and leading User Acceptance Testing (UAT) efforts.

Strong understanding of Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) principles and Agile software delivery practices.
-
Experience working closely with both business and technical stakeholders.

Ability to translate complex business requirements into actionable development work.

Strong communication, presentation, and stakeholder management skills.
-
Experience identifying risks, dependencies, and business impacts while developing mitigation plans.
-
Experience facilitating meetings and driving cross-functional alignment.

Understanding of enterprise governance, security, compliance, and risk management practices. * Experience supporting DevOps, CI/CD, Source Code Management, or Software Engineering organizations.

Experience working with cloud technologies and containerization strategies.
-
Familiarity with GitHub, GitLab, Bitbucket, Jenkins, or related developer platforms.

Banking or Financial Services industry experience.

Experience supporting large-scale technology transformation programs.

Knowledge of automation and continuous delivery practices.

Scrum Product Owner certification (CSPO) or similar Agile certification.
