Job description
- Provide ongoing support to SMEs in integrating innovative teaching strategies and technologies to enhance student learning.
- Review courses at various stages of development to ensure alignment with curriculum and program outcomes, accreditation standards, copyright and federal compliance requirements, and internal quality benchmarks.
- Manage multiple projects simultaneously while meeting deadlines and quality expectations.
- Collaborate with the Learning Team to design and deliver orientations, trainings, and workshops informed by research and university data (as requested and appropriate).
- Develop job aids, exemplars, and resources to support effective course design.
- Strengthen instructors’ ability to effectively utilize the University’s LMS across campuses and modalities.
- Conduct course reviews and analysis to support continuous improvement and assessment processes.
Requirements
Required:
- Bachelor’s degree
- Minimum of two years of experience in teaching and learning, curriculum development, or instructional design
Preferred:
- Master’s degree
- Experience with online learning environments
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
- Demonstrated ability to translate complex content into engaging, accessible learning materials.
- Strong understanding of adult learning principles, instructional design models, and human-centered design.
- Experience with D2L Brightspace (or ability to quickly become proficient).
- Familiarity with Quality Matters standards.
- Experience with authoring tools such as Articulate Storyline and Adobe Captivate.
- Strong visual design and multimedia skills (e.g., Canva, Camtasia, Illustrator).
- Excellent interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work independently, maintain confidentiality, and exercise sound judgment.
- Adaptability in a fast-paced environment with evolving priorities.
