Job description

They’re looking for a Manager - AI & Data Architect to join their Technology & Data Practice in London. This is an opportunity for an experienced data professional to take ownership of end-to-end data architecture, working across modern data platforms, cloud technologies, analytics and AI to solve complex business challenges. What you’ll be doing

  • Design and deliver end-to-end data architecture solutions, from ingestion and processing through to analytics and visualisation.
  • Architect scalable data pipelines, ETL processes and data platforms across modern and legacy environments.
  • Develop conceptual, logical and physical data models across dimensional, relational and data vault approaches.
  • Define architectural best practice across security, scalability, performance and cost optimisation.
  • Provide technical leadership, architecture governance and design direction across data initiatives.
  • Work closely with engineering, analytics, data science and business teams to deliver enterprise data solutions.
  • Establish data quality and governance frameworks to ensure data integrity, security and compliance.
  • Explore how AI and machine learning can enhance data solutions, including intelligent automation and predictive data quality.
  • Work with modern data platforms such as Snowflake and Microsoft Fabric.
  • Translate complex technical concepts and data insights into clear recommendations for senior stakeholders.
  • Prototype and assess emerging data and AI technologies that could create future value for clients.

Requirements

  • 5+ years’ experience in data engineering, data architecture or a closely related discipline.
  • Strong experience designing and implementing data pipelines, ETL processes and data storage solutions.
  • Experience leading data engineering projects, workstreams or technical teams.
  • Strong knowledge of cloud data platforms and services, ideally across Azure, AWS or GCP.
  • Experience with modern data platforms such as Snowflake or Microsoft Fabric.
  • Strong understanding of data modelling, data architecture and data governance.
  • Experience with data visualisation tools such as Power BI, Tableau or Looker.
  • Exposure to integrating AI/ML into data solutions, with an understanding of AI governance and responsible AI.
  • Strong communication skills, with the ability to explain complex architecture and technical concepts to senior and non-technical stakeholders.
  • A consulting or client-facing background would be highly beneficial.
