Job description

Design and implement end-to-end data solutions from ingestion and processing through to analytics and visualisation.
Design scalable data pipelines and ETL processes across modern and legacy platforms.
Develop conceptual, logical and physical data models, including dimensional, relational and data vault.
Own end-to-end data architecture aligned to business and technology strategy.
Establish architecture best practices across security, performance, scalability and cost optimisation.
Provide technical leadership, architecture governance and design documentation.
Develop data quality frameworks, governance policies, schemas and metadata repositories.
Integrate AI and machine learning into data solutions, including automation, anomaly detection and predictive data quality.
Support data visualisation and translate complex data into actionable insights.

Requirements

5+ years’ experience in data engineering and architecture, including ETL, data pipelines and data storage.
Experience leading data engineering projects or workstreams.
Strong experience with cloud platforms and cloud data services.
Experience with modern data platforms such as Snowflake and/or Microsoft Fabric.
Strong data modelling experience across dimensional, relational and/or data vault approaches.
Experience with Power BI, Tableau or Looker.
Strong understanding of data governance and data quality.
Experience integrating AI/ML into data solutions and understanding of AI governance.
Ability to design scalable, secure and cost-effective data architectures.
Relevant cloud data engineering certifications would be advantageous.
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Data Engineering or a related field would be advantageous.
