Mainframe Storage Engineer

We’re looking for a Senior Mainframe Storage Engineer (IBM z/OS) for a role in Columbia, SC (strongly preferred); State College, PA; or Dallas, TX. Also open to fully remote candidates nationwide., * Provide architectural guidance while also supporting day-to-day operational activities

• Monitor and maintain the mainframe storage environment
• Work closely with storage vendors on support, implementations, and enhancements
• Participate in product upgrades, configuration changes, and break/fix activities
• Support disaster recovery planning and testing
• Utilize ServiceNow for incident and change management processes
• Provide technical leadership and guidance on storage strategy and best practices
• Participate in an on-call rotation

Work Authorization: U.S. citizens and Green Card holders only. Sponsorship is not available for this role; no C2C or third-party candidates. Candidates must be able to work on our W2., * 9 years of related IT experience and 2 years in corporate planning or strategic development (can be concurrent)

• Strong expertise in IBM z/OS storage administration
• Experience with:
• Coding SMS Client routines
• ISMF to translate, validate, and activate client routines, define and maintain SMS constructs
• HSM configuration and administration
• Monitoring SMS storage group utilization
• RMM configuration and administration, * Four-year degree required; Master’s degree preferred
