Network Reliability Engineer

In response to ongoing strategic growth, Our Client is seeking a dedicated Network Reliability Engineer to strengthen their Systems team. This pivotal role will focus on maintaining and enhancing the stability and performance of their extensive network infrastructure. The position offers an exciting opportunity to influence the resilience of critical technological systems, supporting the organisation’s ambitious goals and technological aspirations., * Manage, troubleshoot, and optimise the reliability of the organisation’s network infrastructure through hands-on engineering and operational support

• Resolve complex network and security issues promptly across diverse platforms
• Develop and maintain automation tools to improve network efficiency and reliability
• Implement and refine monitoring systems to enable proactive management of network health
• Collaborate with cross-disciplinary teams to drive continuous improvement and participate in both project delivery and on-call support

• A degree or equivalent in computer science, engineering, or a comparable technical discipline
• At least five years’ practical experience in operating and engineering large-scale production networks, including on-call responsibilities
• Strong operational insight with a proven track record of maintaining network stability under pressure
• Proficiency in scripting and automation, particularly with Python, to streamline network operations
• Well-versed in core networking protocols including UDP, TCP/IP, BGP, OSPF, and multicast, with hands-on experience in Linux and/or Windows environments
• Experience with firewall management and security platforms such as Palo Alto
• Familiarity with network observability tools for metrics, monitoring, and troubleshooting
• Knowledge of declarative configuration management systems

• Experience with high-performance data networks and storage systems
• Knowledge of advanced security and compliance protocols
• Familiarity with network infrastructure at enterprise scale
