Mainframe Security Engineer

We are seeking a strong Mainframe Security Engineer to support one of our global financial services customer. This resource would be joining a small team within the Cyber Sec group supporting mainframe security jobs. This role is primarily developing and programming mainframe in support of cyber security supporting efforts going on in vulnerability management. This is not a traditional production support role and does NOT require on call or production support. Other day to day tasks include the following:

• Providing day to day tactical execution of projects, including detailed analytics of various data points. You will guide projects, asset modelling, and make project documentation entries as required.

• Serve as a subject matter expert on Mainframe Security Systems including ACF2, TSS, and RACF as a part of a vulnerability management projects.

• Direct interface with Client staff on training and day to day questions of our home-grown Vulnerability tool and other utility tools to manage vulnerabilities.

• Determine security standards regarding z/OS hardening, security controls, and vulnerability remediation.

Must-Haves:

• Experience developing + programming Mainframe in support of Cyber Security

• Must know Mainframe REXX, IBM SYNC SORT, and ICETOOL

• zSecure Audit experience (zSecure is an IBM product, mainframe security and compliance)

• Knowledge of z/OS RACF STIG (security technical implementation guide) security requirements

o Experience using these requirements to harden a z/OS system security posture

• Some experience/exposure to JIRA, Confluence, or SharePoint
