Job description

Design and build internal products used daily by engineering, product, and cross-functional teams across Stripe.
Own end-to-end systems-spanning frontend, backend, data, and integrations-that remove bottlenecks and meaningfully increase product development velocity.
Collaborate with partner teams to understand workflows, define requirements, and build tools that improve iteration speed, quality, and clarity in the product lifecycle.

Who you are

Requirements

Must have a Bachelor’s degree or foreign equivalent in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Software Engineering, Information Systems or a related field, plus five (5) years of post-bachelors progressive work experience in software development, or a related occupation.

Must also have five (5) years of experience with/in each of the following:

Designing, developing, testing, and maintaining full-stack or backend web applications;
Programming language including Java, Go, Python, Ruby, TypeScript, or JavaScript;
Building and consuming REST or gRPC APIs;
Working with databases including PostgreSQL, mySQL, or NoSQL systems;
Cloud environments including AWS, or Google Cloud Platform;
Frontend frameworks including React, Vue or building product UIs;
Owning large components or projects and driving alignment with cross-functional partners; and
Debugging.

Benefits & conditions

Salary: $206,086 - $285,600/yr

This salary range represents the base salary range for the role and any sales commissions/sales bonuses targets, if applicable, would be in addition to the base salary.

40 hrs/week

50% Telecommuting Permitted.
