Job description

We are seeking a hands-on UI Engineer to own the development and delivery of high-quality user interfaces across core product areas. This role is focused on building polished, scalable, production-ready front-end experiences that are responsive, accessible, performant, and easy to maintain.

The UI Engineer will work closely with Product, Design, and Engineering to translate requirements, wireframes, and design concepts into clean, usable interfaces. This is a hands-on engineering role, not a purely design or advisory position. The successful candidate will be expected to write production code, make practical front-end architecture decisions, improve usability, and help establish reusable component patterns that support long-term product quality.

Requirements

Do you have a Bachelor’s degree?, * 5+ years of professional front-end, UI engineering, or web application development experience.

  • Strong experience building production web applications.
  • Proficiency with modern front-end frameworks such as React, Vue, Angular, or similar.
  • Strong command of HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and/or TypeScript.
  • Experience building responsive, accessible, cross-browser-compatible interfaces.
  • Ability to translate product requirements and design concepts into production-ready UI.
  • Strong understanding of component-based architecture, reusable components, and design systems.
  • Experience integrating front-end applications with APIs and back-end services.
  • Good judgment around UI implementation tradeoffs, front-end performance, usability, scalability, and maintainability.
  • Experience with React, TypeScript, Next.js, Tailwind, Material UI, or similar modern front-end tools
  • Experience working with design systems or component libraries
  • Identify and resolve UI performance, usability, accessibility, scalability, and maintainability issues.
  • Review front-end code, provide constructive feedback, and help raise overall UI engineering quality.
  • Own UI bugs, front-end production issues, root-cause analysis, and ongoing improvements to the front-end codebase.

Nice to Have:

  • Familiarity with Figma or similar design collaboration tools
  • Experience with accessibility standards such as WCAG
  • Experience optimizing front-end performance for complex applications
  • Experience in SaaS, B2B software, workflow tools, dashboards, or data-heavy interfaces
  • Ability to mentor other engineers on front-end best practices
  • Background in DOD Products
  • Secret Clearance
