Job description

Visionary Innovation Construction Semiconductors Quality Control Water Treatment AutoCAD Plant 3D Process Architecture Industrial Wastewater Artificial Intelligence Submittals (Construction) Critical Illness Insurance, The 2D Drafter supports engineering teams by producing accurate, high-quality drawings for industrial water and process systems. This role is primarily focused on developing and maintaining P&IDs using AutoCAD Plant 3D, with additional support for layout and fabrication drawings., * Create and maintain P&IDs in AutoCAD Plant 3D based on engineering input

  • Develop general arrangement (GA) drawings, layouts, and detailed views
  • Support fabrication drawings for piping, frames, and skidded systems
  • Incorporate redlines, RFIs, vendor data, and as-built updates
  • Ensure drawings meet company standards, client requirements, and codes
  • Coordinate with engineers and project teams to resolve design issues
  • Support drawing packages for submittals and construction (IFC)
  • Maintain organized CAD files, revisions, and QA/QC checks

Requirements

  • 3-7 years of drafting experience in an industrial EPC or design/build environment
  • Strong AutoCAD Plant 3D experience (P&IDs)
  • Solid understanding of piping systems, layouts, and drafting standards
  • Ability to read PFDs, specifications, and engineering markups, * Fabrication drawings (piping, skids, supports)
  • Exposure to water treatment, chemical, or semiconductor environments
  • Familiarity with isometrics, line lists, and basic BOMs
  • Experience coordinating with fabrication or construction teams __________________

  • EducationAssociate degree in Drafting/Design or equivalent experience

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Plano, TX. Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $23.00 - $28.85/hr.
