Senior Software Engineer

• TypeScript, JavaScript, React and modern front-end technologies
• Backend development using TypeScript, Java, C# or a similar OOP language
• REST, GraphQL and WebSockets
• AWS and cloud-based technologies
• Microservices and event-driven architecture
• SQL and NoSQL databases
• Automated unit, integration and E2E testing
• Terraform and containerisation
• CI/CD and modern software development practices
• Git and Agile development environments

You’ll also be someone who enjoys solving complex problems, challenging ideas constructively and helping less experienced engineers develop their technical skills.

What you’ll do

• Design, develop, test and deploy high-quality software
• Help drive engineering improvements across the team
• Work closely with architects, technical leads and other engineers
• Contribute to wider system architecture and technical discussions
• Refactor and evolve existing systems towards the target architecture
• Support the delivery of scalable, reusable services
• Promote strong engineering practices across the full software development lifecycle
• Mentor and support junior members of the team

The team owns and operates its services through to production, so there may occasionally be a requirement to support production incidents outside of standard working hours.

You’ll be an experienced Full Stack, Front End or Backend Engineer with strong TypeScript experience and a passion for building high-quality, scalable software.
