Job description

Are you detail-oriented, passionate about food safety, and ready to grow your career in quality assurance? Adecco is seeking a QA Technician to support our client’s food safety and quality programs within a fast-paced food manufacturing environment in Westbrook, Maine.

This role is ideal for candidates with food manufacturing and QA experience, who understand the importance of compliance, documentation accuracy, and maintaining high product standards. You’ll play a key role in ensuring products meet regulatory, customer, and internal quality expectations.

Schedule Training Schedule: Monday-Friday, 10:00 AM - 6:00 PM Regular Schedule: Monday-Friday, 1:00 PM - 9:00 PM, * Perform quality checks, line inspections, and GMP audits throughout production

  • Conduct sensory evaluations and routine product testing on raw materials and finished goods
  • Verify label accuracy, lot codes, packaging standards, and product specifications
  • Review batch records and maintain accurate QA documentation
  • Monitor compliance with GMP, HACCP, food safety, and sanitation procedures
  • Collect product samples and manage retention programs
  • Identify quality or food safety concerns and communicate findings promptly
  • Enter and track QA data using Excel and internal reporting systems

Requirements

Do you have experience in Quality control within food and beverage industry?, Do you have a High school diploma or GED?, * 1-3 years of experience in food manufacturing quality assurance

  • Associate degree in Food Science, Food Manufacturing, Biology preferred
  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Working knowledge of GMPs, HACCP, and food safety standards strongly preferred
  • Comfortable working on the production floor in a fast-paced manufacturing environment
  • Strong attention to detail and documentation accuracy
  • Computer proficiency, including Microsoft Excel and Word

Work Environment

  • Active food manufacturing environment with frequent walking and standing
  • Must be comfortable working around production equipment and refrigerated ingredients/products as applicable
  • Requires adherence to PPE, GMP, and food safety requirements
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
