As part of this transformation, NSS and NES have joined to form a new organisation: Public Services Delivery Scotland (PSD Scotland). This new organisation will play a pivotal role in supporting the renewal and ensuring the long-term sustainability of health and care services across Scotland.
About the Organisation: PSD Scotland unites expertise from NES and NSS in a way that will allow us to accelerate national programmes to support the NHS to deliver better care, now and in the future.
We support staff with education and training, provide the tools and data that improve services, and run vital national functions such as procurement, logistics and blood, tissue and cell services., The Seer Technology Office plays a critical role in delivering and supporting the data and analytics platforms that underpin national services. The team is responsible for the design, implementation, optimisation and ongoing management of enterprise data and business intelligence solutions, and the effective operation, maintenance and ongoing development of data and analytics platforms, across a modern cloud-based technology stack
We are seeking Technical Specialists who will play a key role in the design, development, and ongoing support of data and analytics solutions. This includes contributing to modern data platform development, building and optimising data pipelines, and supporting enterprise data and analytical tools that underpin critical reporting and decision-making across health and social care.
The successful candidate will play a key role in:
- Technical design, development and implementation of complex data, integration and BI solutions
- Providing specialist technical support and advice across platforms such as AWS, Denodo, Snowflake, Tableau, Power BI, Business Objects and other enterprise tools
- Supporting the management of platform environments, including configuration, upgrades, security controls and performance tuning
- Contributing to service improvement, helping to maintain operational stability and supporting ongoing platform development
- Contributing to technical strategy and roadmap planning, including evaluation of emerging technologies
- Mentoring and developing other technical staff across the data and analytics service

Requirements
We are looking for a technically skilled and motivated individual with experience in data and analytics environments, and a strong ability to deliver practical, high-quality solutions., * Demonstrable experience in designing, developing, and implementing data, BI, or analytics solutions, including data pipelines, ETL/ELT processes, and data platform components
- Strong technical capability, including SQL and (ideally) Python, with an understanding of cloud and modern data architecture concepts
- Experience working with data warehouses and enterprise BI tools, alongside knowledge of data modelling and integration approaches
- The ability to translate complex requirements into effective technical solutions, working both independently and as part of a wider delivery team
- Experience supporting and maintaining data and analytics platforms, including contributing to their stability, security, and continuous improvement
- Strong stakeholder engagement skills, with the ability to provide clear technical advice and communicate complex concepts to a range of audiences
- Experience of working within structured delivery environments, including Agile or DevOps approaches, and delivering against defined plans and milestones
- A proactive and problem-solving mindset, with experience troubleshooting complex data or platform issues.
