Digital and Information Skills Officer

Osney One Building, Osney Mead, Oxford, OX2 0EW, with hybrid working About the Role We are seeking an enthusiastic individual to join the Bodleian Libraries’ Information Skills team at an exciting time as we transform information literacy support for Oxford’s students and researchers, with a particular focus on Artificial Intelligence (AI). You will help develop and deliver our iSkills programme, create guidance and training on the responsible use of AI in research, explore innovative AI tools and support subject librarians in developing discipline-specific support for departments. You will also work with teams across the University to help shape the Bodleian’s approach to AI policy, digital literacy and emerging technologies. This is a fixed-term post for 3 years. The role is available full time at 37.5 hours per week, although part-time working at 0.6 FTE or above can be considered. Hybrid working is also supported.

You will be educated to degree level, or have equivalent professional experience, be proficient in information retrieval and critical evaluation skills. You will have knowledge of AI and Machine Learning gained through study or professional experience, alongside strong digital, communication and organisational skills. You will be comfortable working independently, learning new technologies and communicating complex ideas clearly to different audiences.
