Senior Electronics Hardware Engineer - RAS 168

• Develop analogue and digital electronic hardware
• Develop and support embedded firmware
• Lead hardware and electronics design reviews
• Act as a technical authority on electronics design for new product developments
• Design reliable, low-power and low-noise electronic systems
• Design for EMC and support EMC testing and standards compliance
• Carry out hands-on electronics and embedded software fault finding
• Evaluate different design approaches and technical solutions
• Produce accurate engineering and design documentation
• Provide technical support to Production
• Provide mentorship and technical direction to engineering colleagues
• Keep up to date with developments in electronics technologies and toolsets

The role would suit an experienced electronics engineer with a strong background in analogue and digital circuit design, FPGA/MPU technology, embedded systems and low-power electronics., * Strong analogue and digital electronics design experience

• FPGA and MPU experience
• Low-power and low-noise electronics design
• EMC design and testing experience
• Understanding of relevant EMC standards, including EN60945
• Altium and PCB design experience
• Embedded C programming
• C++ knowledge
• Microprocessor implementation
• Electronics and embedded software fault finding
• Production support experience
• Strong technical documentation skills
• Excellent problem-solving and communication skills, A 2:1 or above in a relevant Engineering degree, such as Electronic or Electrical Engineering, is required.
