Security Analyst - Intermediate

We are seeking a Security Analyst - Intermediate to support Medicaid security for payment processing systems. This position offers diverse challenges, continuous learning opportunities, and a relaxed yet supportive work environment., * Perform vulnerability scanning and coordinate remediation with responsible teams.

• Deploy and manage Endpoint Detection & Response (EDR) solutions.
• Review and evaluate firewall requests.
• Research and assess newly released vulnerabilities.
• Assist with incident response and investigations.
• Support GRC (Governance, Risk, Compliance) assessments.
• Create alerts in SIEM tools based on data from multiple security systems.

• Strong ability to communicate vulnerability information to non-security personnel.
• Working knowledge of web applications.
• Working knowledge of databases (Oracle, MSSQL, MySQL).
• Solid understanding of networking concepts and tools (Nmap, Wireshark, vulnerability scanning)., * Hands-on experience with SIEM search and analysis.
• Experience with Palo Alto Firewalls.
• Familiarity with NIST 800-53 standards., * Minimum: High School Diploma
• Preferred: Security+ certification

Lumen and / or its clients will not provide equipment (Laptop, monitor, etc.) to the selected contractor. The contractor must have their own equipment. Access to a virtual desktop set up (software) will be provided by Lumen’s client, allowing the user access to the required systems and technology.
