Starbucks is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to design, build, and scale customer-facing platforms that power our global coffeehouse experience. In this role, you’ll architect and develop secure, resilient services that support ordering, payments, loyalty, and store operations. You’ll collaborate closely with product, design, and operations teams in an agile environment, mentor junior engineers, and champion best practices in testing, cloud, and CI/CD. - Collaborate with product, UX, and operations teams to translate business needs into technical solutions
- Implement and maintain RESTful APIs and microservices in a cloud environment
- Ensure code quality through automated testing, code reviews, and CI/CD practices
- Optimize application performance, reliability, and observability in production
- Mentor and support junior engineers, sharing best practices and guiding technical decisions
- Contribute to architectural decisions and long-term technical roadmaps
- Align solutions with Starbucks’ values around customer experience, sustainability, and data security
