Job description

Starbucks is seeking a Software Engineer to build reliable, scalable systems that power our global retail and digital experiences. In this role, you will design, develop, test, and deploy services and applications that support store operations, mobile ordering, and loyalty experiences. You will collaborate closely with product, design, and operations teams to translate business needs into secure, performant solutions. The ideal candidate has experience with modern cloud-native development, strong coding practices, and a passion for creating technology that supports partners, customers, and sustainable growth at scale., * Design, develop, and maintain software services and applications supporting Starbucks retail and digital experiences.

  • Collaborate with product managers, designers, and operations teams to translate requirements into technical solutions.
  • Implement and maintain RESTful APIs and integrations with internal and external systems.
  • Ensure code quality through testing, code reviews, and adherence to secure coding standards.
  • Deploy and monitor applications using modern cloud and Dev
  • Ops tools.
  • Optimize performance, reliability, and scalability of applications used across global Starbucks stores.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve production issues in partnership with cross-functional teams.
  • Contribute to technical documentation, architecture discussions, and best practices within the team.
