Job description
Define target architecture, technical blueprints, high-level designs, and delivery roadmaps for enterprise-scale Guidewire transformation programs.
- Design scalable, secure, maintainable Guidewire solutions aligned with architecture standards and governance frameworks.
- Lead architecture across Guidewire PolicyCenter, ClaimCenter, BillingCenter, and Guidewire Cloud migration initiatives.
- Guide configuration, customization, workflows, rules, data extensions, product models, and integrations.
- Design and oversee integrations with CRM, payment, document management, data warehouse, vendor, and other enterprise systems.
- Define API, messaging, middleware, plugin, and event-driven integration patterns.
- Oversee data migration, data conversion, reconciliation, and data quality activities.
- Provide technical leadership to development, configuration, integration, and data teams through mentoring, design reviews, code reviews, and architecture assurance.
- Drive non-functional requirements covering performance, security, scalability, resilience, availability, and operational readiness.
- Facilitate solution workshops, architecture reviews, design discussions, and stakeholder presentations.
- Present solution options, risks, trade-offs, and recommendations to technical and business stakeholders.
- Support pre-sales activities including RFP responses, estimates, proposals, client presentations, reusable assets, and thought leadership.
Requirements
Strong experience as a Guidewire Solution Architect, Technical Architect, or Lead Architect on implementation or transformation programs.
- Deep knowledge of the Property & Casualty (P&C) insurance domain, including policy administration, claims management, billing, underwriting, and core insurance processes.
- Hands-on expertise with Guidewire PolicyCenter, ClaimCenter, and BillingCenter.
- Strong knowledge of Guidewire Rules Engine, workflows, product model, plugins, configuration, and customization.
- Proven experience designing Guidewire integrations using REST, SOAP, messaging, middleware, integration frameworks, and enterprise integration patterns.
- Experience with Guidewire Cloud and/or cloud platforms such as AWS or Azure.
- Strong understanding of CI/CD and DevOps practices.
- Knowledge of performance optimization, security architecture, SQL, data modeling, ETL, and data migration.
- Ability to translate complex business requirements into scalable Guidewire architecture and practical technical solutions.
ADDITIONAL SKILLS AND OTHER REQUIREMENTS:
- Experience defining architecture governance, technical standards, and solution roadmaps.
- Strong understanding of enterprise integration and event-driven architecture.
- Experience overseeing complex data migration, conversion, reconciliation, and data quality initiatives.
- Ability to conduct architecture workshops and design-review sessions.
- Experience mentoring development, configuration, integration, and data teams.
- Strong understanding of security, scalability, resilience, availability, and operational readiness.
- Experience supporting RFPs, proposals, estimates, client presentations, and pre-sales activities.
- Ability to evaluate technical options, risks, dependencies, and architectural trade-offs.
