Salesforce Application Development Lead

We are seeking a Salesforce Lead to guide a development team and drive the evolution of a complex Salesforce platform. This role involves a mix of hands-on development, team mentorship, and strategic collaboration. The successful candidate will oversee performance monitoring, lead code reviews, and work with architecture teams to define long-term platform strategy. This position is a 6-month contract-to-hire opportunity, requiring onsite presence 4 days per week., * Lead a team of approximately 10-12 internal and professional services developers, providing mentorship and guidance.

• Perform code reviews and contribute to hands-on development (10-20% of the time).
• Oversee data and integration strategies, including work with Mulesoft, APIs, and configuration.
• Monitor platform performance and ensure system health and stability.
• Collaborate with security teams to assess issues and maintain current configurations.
• Participate in architecture discussions to contribute to the 5-year strategic plan.
• Define product vision, roadmap, and success metrics aligned with business and platform strategy.
• Lead backlog grooming, sprint planning, and release readiness activities.
• Champion the use of AI and automation to improve partner experience and operational efficiency.

Education: Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in a related field., * 7+ years of industry experience in a technology environment delivering complex products.

• 5+ years of experience managing SaaS platform capabilities with a focus on stability, performance, and operational excellence.
• 5+ years of hands-on experience developing roadmaps, writing user stories, and refining product backlogs.
• 5+ years demonstrating the ability to use analytics and optimization tools for product planning.
• 5+ years demonstrating the ability to work with design and engineering teams to deliver customer-facing features.
• 3+ years of experience with the Salesforce Platform, including its architecture, data models, and out-of-the-box features.

Technical Skills:

• Experience with data and integrations, including APIs and configuration. Mulesoft experience is a plus.
• Understanding of Conga CLM.
• Experience applying AI and automation within enterprise products.

The project environment is centered on the Salesforce Platform. Current initiatives include migrating integrations from Mulesoft to an internal platform, adding functionality, and enhancing the UI for two Experience Clouds. This role offers the opportunity to work with Conga CLM and collaborate with professional services partners.
