Senior/Staff Software Engineer, Platform

• Manage and enhance AWS infrastructure using Terraform and Pulumi.
• Develop and maintain internal developer tools, TypeScript libraries, SDKs, and reusable frameworks.
• Build and optimize CI/CD pipelines and manage ephemeral pull request environments.
• Improve system reliability through service-level objectives, error budgets, autoscaling, observability, and incident response.
• Address performance and scalability challenges involving Aurora PostgreSQL and distributed services.
• Collaborate with product engineers to streamline development, testing, and deployment processes.
• Document complex systems and promote technical standards within the engineering team.

• At least seven years of software engineering experience, including platform, infrastructure, or backend development.
• Experience in a high-growth technology startup environment.
• Hands-on experience with CI/CD pipelines and ephemeral environments, preferably with Buildkite.
• Proficiency in TypeScript and Node.js with production codebase experience.
• Extensive AWS expertise across multiple service areas.
• Strong skills in Terraform and/or Pulumi, including CI-driven workflows.
• Knowledge of service-level objectives, error budgets, incident response, and observability.
• Proven ability to ship production code.
• Strong written communication skills for technical documentation.

1. Pay Range and Compensation Package: * Base salary ranges from $150,000 to $350,000 depending on seniority and experience. * Senior-level roles may reach a $300,000 base, and staff-level roles may reach a $350,000 base. * Competitive equity is offered.
