Lead Software Engineer

Insight Global is seeking a hands-on Lead Software Engineer to serve as both a technical leader and full stack developer. This individual will be responsible for designing, developing, and supporting business applications, APIs, integrations, and databases that drive operational efficiency across the organization.

The ideal candidate will help define application architecture, establish development standards, guide technical direction, mentor developers, and lead technical decision-making while remaining actively involved in coding. This role partners closely with business stakeholders to deliver scalable, secure, and maintainable software solutions that support company-wide initiatives.

Day-to-Day Responsibilities:

• Design, develop, test, deploy, and support custom business applications

• Lead full stack development efforts utilizing C#, .NET, Angular, SQL, and APIs

• Define and maintain application architecture and development standards

• Mentor and provide technical guidance to developers

• Collaborate with business stakeholders to gather requirements and design solutions

• Build and maintain integrations between internal and external systems

• Drive process improvements, innovation, and development best practices

• Ensure software solutions are scalable, secure, and maintainable

• 7+ years of full stack software development experience

• 2+ years of technical leadership, mentorship, or lead developer experience

• Strong experience with: C#,.NET / .NET Core, SQL Server

• API development and enterprise integrations

• Experience establishing development standards and software architecture

• Familiar with enterprise system integrations

• Strong communication and stakeholder-facing skills

• Ability to balance technical leadership with hands-on development

• Works well independently but can communicate in a team environment Nice to Haves:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science

• Angular, Azure, Oracle, JavaScript, TypeScript

• Enterprise application architecture experience, cloud app creation in Azure

• AI-assisted development tools

• CI/CD and modern development practices

• ERP or business systems integration experience
