System Engineer

Join our Technology team as a Systems Engineer, this is an 18 month fixed term full time position reporting directly to our IT Operations Manager. In this position you will be responsible for the implementation, support and maintenance of enterprise systems infrastructure and the network services that connect them as well as supporting the day-to-day operation of the wider business

You will be responsible for maintenance of the network infrastructure that underpins ANZCOs products and services. This role ensures ANZCO effectively meets service and delivery goals with particular focus on the Core network and security project, internet edge and complex engineering.A key function of the role is to ensure the company’s infrastructure is reliable and well managed.

Duties and Responsibilities will include

• Work on continuous improvement of IT Systems in accordance with ANZCO Foods strategic plan.
• Identify practical opportunities and proactively suggest quality improvements to systems and practises.
• Sound knowledge on end user compute environment builds, management and deployment methods.
• Identifying practical opportunities and proactively suggesting quality improvements to systems and practices.
• Working with cloud computing platforms and Microsoft 365.
• Administering Microsoft Exchange, Active Directory and related core services
• Handling day-to-day networking and supporting network-connected systems - including LAN/WAN connectivity, switching and VLANs and engaging our external network vendor for complex or core-network work
• Technical problem-solving skills with the ability to take ownership and see through to resolution.
• Troubleshooting performance issues and providing technical and advisory support to ensure a successful outcome.
• Maintain high quality documentation and quality improvements to systems and practises.

• A minimum of 3 years’ experience in a similar systems role with a major company.
• Knowledge of Microsoft Exchange and Active Directory.
• Experience with cloud computing platforms and Microsoft 365.
• Sound working knowledge of networking fundamentals - LAN/WAN, switching, VLANs and subnetting - to manage day-to-day networking and coordinate effectively with our external network vendor on complex work (deep core-network specialisation is not required).
• Familiarity with enterprise firewalls (e.g. Palo Alto/Fortinet) - desirable.
• Experience with IT systems that interface with plant equipment.
• Experience with Operational Technology (SCADA, PLCs) - desirable.
• Technical problem-solving skills with the ability to take ownership and see issues through to resolution.
• Confidence building and managing relationships with external vendors and service providers.
