Job description

SURVICE Engineering is currently seeking a Junior DevOps Engineer to support our Gulf Coast Operation. You will accelerate your career and become an integral team member within the defense community., * Work with customer and team members to understand project requirements and scope

  • Critically analyzing and integrating software requirements into applications
  • Writing efficient code using standard practices
  • Working independently and in a team environment as required
  • Perform full software life cycle functions including software requirements, architecture, design, code, test, integration, and documentation
  • Develop software within the defined agile process
  • Conduct research in cATO processes leveraging existing CI/CD and DevSecOps process

Requirements

Minimum Qualifications of Junior DevOps Engineer Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science/Computer Engineering or related discipline and 2+ years of relevant experience. Exceptional candidates with less experience will be considered. Candidates are not required to possess all qualifications; if you possess some of the desired qualifications, please apply.

  • Linux Fundamentals and Scripting
  • Cloud computing skills, such as database management and network management. They must also have an understanding of Amazon Web Services (AWS), Google Cloud Platform (GPC) and Microsoft Azure
  • Knowledgeable of Node.js and programming languages like Java, Javascript, Ruby, Shell, Bash and PHP
  • Knowledgeable in code analysis, change management, threat investigation, security training and vulnerability assessment
  • Knowledgeable in how to use monitoring tools like Nagios and Splunk, and they should also have the capacity to recognize bottlenecks in the production system, pave security patches and upgrade system versions
  • Proficient in Containerization, Continuous Integration, and Version Management

  • Salary: $100,000 - $130,000 Depending on Experience and Education
  • Travel: 5%
