Job description

ECS is seeking a TS-cleared Information Systems Security Officer (ISSO) to support one of our mission critical programs for the Department of Justice in Winchester, VA .

In this job you will lead security authorization support for complex FBI systems and portfolios, with accountability for authorization readiness, remediation, quality, and continuity.

We are seeking candidates committed to high quality to provide innovative solutions. As an Information System Security Officer - Mid, you will perform lifecycle ISSO support for assigned FBI systems, coordinating SAA artifacts, control implementation evidence, POA&Ms, vulnerabilities, annual assessments, data calls, and system-owner actions. Maintains accurate records, monitors authorization milestones, and escalates risk or schedule issues that could affect ATO continuity or compliance.

Requirements

  • US citizenship with active Top Secret clearance
  • 5 Years of experience
  • Intermediate proficiency aligned to Security Architect (722) of DOD 8140 requirements:
  • Bachelor’s Degree in one of the following disciplines (Computer Science, Cybersecurity, Data Science, Information Systems, Information Technology, or Software Engineering)
  • OR One of the following Certifications (GMON, Security X/CASP+, CCISO, CCSP, CGRC/CAP, CISSO, Cloud+, GCSA, GSEC, Security+, SSCP)
  • US citizenship with active Top Secret clearance
  • Must meet applicable FBI TS/SCI, background, training, facility-access, and polygraph requirements.
  • Demonstrated ability to execute SAA/RMF support and maintain accurate security documentation.

Desired Skills

  • Demonstrated experience with FBI/DOJ SAA or RMF
  • Demonstrated experience with JCAM/Xacta
  • Possess familiarity with NIST RMF documentation
  • Demonstrated experience with POA&M and vulnerability management
  • Possess experience with annual assessment support
  • Possess strong stakeholder coordination
