Technical Support Engineer - South - 6 Month FTC

What You’ll Do:

As a Technical Support Engineer, you will be at the heart of our technical operations, ensuring the smooth deployment, maintenance, and support of IT infrastructure. You’ll work closely with network engineers, oversee contractors, and optimize system performance.

Technical Deployment:

• Set up and support IT infrastructure at visa center sites.
• Install, rack, and cable servers, switches, and other critical equipment.
• Collaborate with network engineers for seamless installation and configuration.
• Supervise contractor work, ensuring compliance with project timelines and specifications.
• Travel locally and internationally as required.

Maintenance & Support:

• Ensure systems are up-to-date with security patches and software updates.
• Monitor and maintain cooling systems, PDUs, UPS, and other infrastructure to prevent downtime.
• Provide user support, including account management and troubleshooting.
• Diagnose, repair, and optimize IT hardware and software.

Additional Responsibilities:

• Oversee surveillance and endpoint management.
• Manage procurement and asset inventory to support operational efficiency.
• Collaborate with vendors for service contracts and equipment maintenance.
• Participate in audits and ensure compliance with security protocols.
• Identify and escalate incidents when necessary.

• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or equivalent professional training.
• Experience: Strong background in IT systems engineering, deployments, and support.
• Technical Skills:
• Hands-on experience with routers, switches, and network hardware.
• Proficiency in VMware or any virtualization platform.
• Strong grasp of MS Active Directory.
• Familiarity with Linux (RHEL, Debian), Bash scripting, Windows Servers, PowerShell, Windows 11, and MacOS.
• Soft Skills: Excellent communication, teamwork, and problem-solving abilities.
• Work Environment: Comfortable working in a fast-paced, international, and multicultural setting.
• Language: Fluent in English (B2 level or higher).
