Job description

As Actuarial Data Scientist you will develop and enhance advanced pricing models, blending actuarial techniques with modern data science. You will work closely with the Lead Actuarial Data Scientist, underwriting experts, and ERGO’s Group Data Science community to deliver AI-enabled solutions that improve risk selection, optimise pricing strategies, and strengthen ERGO’s market position.

How you will get the job done

  • building and refining predictive pricing models using GLM, ML, and deep learning techniques
  • performing feature engineering, data cleaning, and model performance monitoring to ensure accuracy and reliability
  • developing visual analytics tools and dashboards for tracking pricing KPIs
  • translating technical modelling outcomes into clear, actionable insights for business stakeholders
  • collaborating with underwriting, product, and claims teams to integrate analytics into operational decisions, Let’s be balanced - work-life balance is a key aspect of a healthy workplace. We offer our employees flexible working hours, a confidential employee assistant program, as well as the possibility of remote working. However, staying at home with our in-office gaming room and dog-friendly office in Warsaw won’t be easy.

Let’s be smart - we organize numerous workshops and training courses. Thanks to hackathons and meetups, our specialists share their expertise with others. Additionally, we have a wide range of digital learning platforms and language courses.

Let’s be responsible - each year, we participate in several CSR activities, during which, together with our colleagues, we do our best to create a better future.

Let’s be fun - company-wide bike races and soccer matches, film marathons in our cinema room or other engaging team-building activities - we got it covered!

Requirements

  • fluency in English (C1)
  • 3+ years of experience in Actuarial Science, Data Science, or a related analytical field
  • proven skills in Python, R, SQL, and experience with ML/DL frameworks such as TensorFlow or PyTorch
  • strong statistical modelling and data visualisation capabilities
  • experience applying predictive analytics in insurance pricing or risk modelling
  • ability to work in cross-functional teams and communicate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders
