Advanced Airframe Design Supervisor

Insight Global is seeking an Airframe Design Supervisor for a top aerospace and defense client. This candidate will lead a team of engineers responsible for the design, development, production support, and continuous improvement of aircraft structural systems. The ideal candidate brings a strong background in metallic and composite airframe structures, technical leadership experience, and a proven track record of transitioning designs into production. This role offers the opportunity to work on advanced aerospace platforms, collaborate across multidisciplinary engineering teams, influence department strategy, and drive innovative solutions that improve aircraft performance, manufacturability, and affordability. The position is highly visible within the organization and provides direct impact on both current production programs and future aircraft development efforts.

• 14+ years of engineering experience with Bachelor’s, 10+ years with Master’s, or 7+ years with PhD
• Proven experience designing composite and/or metallic aircraft or spacecraft structures
• Proven track record bringing airframe structures from design into production
• Strong technical leadership experience
• Ability to obtain and maintain a DoD Secret Clearance is required - Proficiency with CREO and NX CAD Modeling and drawing or MBD is preferred
• Ability to document, trade, and communicate pro/cons of structural designs based on performance/DFM/DFC is preferred
