Mid-Level Oracle Database Administrator / Oracle DBA II (Remote)

We are seeking a Mid-Level Oracle Database Administrator / Oracle DBA II to support database administration, development, maintenance, monitoring, and production operations across on-premises and cloud environments. The Oracle DBA will support Oracle Database, Oracle Grid, Oracle RMAN, and PL/SQL environments. Responsibilities include database provisioning, troubleshooting, backup and recovery, patching, performance tuning, HA/DR, monitoring, and change implementation., * Administer, configure, maintain, and monitor Oracle databases.

• Support standalone and clustered Oracle database environments.
• Assist with Oracle Database installation, configuration, upgrades, and patching.
• Support Oracle Grid infrastructure and associated clustered environments.
• Execute, monitor, troubleshoot, and validate Oracle RMAN backup and recovery processes.
• Build and configure Oracle databases based on application requirements.
• Develop and maintain PL/SQL scripts, packages, procedures, and database objects.
• Perform daily troubleshooting, error triage, system setup, and database configuration.
• Monitor database availability, storage, capacity, performance, and system health.
• Perform SQL statement, optimizer, database, and application-performance tuning.
• Support HA/DR implementation, testing, failover, and recovery activities.
• Troubleshoot database, server, connectivity, application, and integration issues.
• Manage incidents, service requests, and change requests using ServiceNow.
• Execute approved Requests for Change and scheduled maintenance activities.
• Resolve database-support tickets according to established service levels.
• Use SolarWinds, Idera, or comparable tools for monitoring and capacity planning.
• Participate in production-incident troubleshooting and root-cause analysis.
• Maintain technical documentation, procedures, scripts, and runbooks.
• Work with senior DBAs, application teams, infrastructure teams, and business users.
• Prepare weekly reports covering support activities and accomplishments.

• Minimum 4 years of Oracle Database administration experience.
• Hands-on Oracle Database administration and production-support experience.
• Experience with Oracle Grid.
• Experience using Oracle RMAN for backup, restoration, and recovery.
• Experience developing and maintaining PL/SQL scripts and database objects.
• Experience creating and configuring standalone or clustered Oracle databases.
• Experience with Oracle installation, configuration, upgrades, and patching.
• Experience supporting HA/DR solutions.
• Experience with database monitoring, capacity planning, and performance tuning.
• Experience supporting on-premises or cloud database environments.
• Experience troubleshooting database, server, connectivity, and application issues.
• Experience with ServiceNow or a comparable IT service-management platform.
• Experience with SolarWinds, Idera, or comparable monitoring tools.
• Working knowledge of SQL Server, SQL Clustering, PostgreSQL, MySQL, MariaDB, or MS Access.
• Strong analytical, troubleshooting, documentation, and communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and collaborate with cross-functional teams.
• Ability to work remotely and remain available through Microsoft Teams during assigned working hours.
