Job description

Manage and maintain Atlassian tools including Jira, Confluence, Bitbucket, and Trello, ensuring optimal performance and availability.
Develop and implement custom workflows, schemes, permissions, and integrations to streamline project management processes.
Oversee system architecture design for Atlassian products aligned with organizational needs and best practices in solution architecture.
Automate routine tasks through scripting languages such as Bash, Python, or JavaScript to improve efficiency and reduce manual effort.
Perform system tuning, performance monitoring, and troubleshooting to resolve issues related to software administration and system troubleshooting.
Coordinate with IT teams to ensure secure access via VPNs, firewalls, Active Directory management, and information security protocols.
Support software implementation projects by configuring new features, managing upgrades, backups, recovery procedures, and system design enhancements.
Conduct system capacity planning involving storage management (including RAID controllers), load balancing, virtualization (VMware/ESXi), and cloud services like AWS or Azure.
Maintain comprehensive documentation on system configurations using configuration management tools while supporting SDLC (Software Development Life Cycle) processes including CI/CD pipelines with Jenkins or Git.
Collaborate across teams to support systems & applications support initiatives while ensuring compliance with security standards such as RESTful API security practices.

Requirements

Proven experience in enterprise-level Atlassian administration with a strong understanding of Jira Service Management, Confluence, Bitbucket, and Trello.
Extensive background in system administration including Windows Server administration, Linux/Unix environments, and virtualization platforms like VMware or ESXi.
Proficiency in scripting languages such as Bash (Unix shell), PowerShell, Python or JavaScript for automation purposes.
Deep knowledge of IT infrastructure components including RAID controllers, network configurations (DNS, DHCP, VPNs), firewalls, load balancing solutions, and storage management systems.
Familiarity with solution architecture principles within service-oriented architecture (SOA) frameworks; experience designing scalable microservices architectures using Kubernetes or Docker containers.
Strong understanding of database systems like MySQL, PostgreSQL, Oracle T-SQL; experience with NoSQL databases is a plus.
Expertise in operating systems including Windows Server environments and Linux distributions; knowledge of Active Directory management is essential.
Experience supporting DevOps practices such as CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins or Azure DevOps; familiarity with REST APIs for integration purposes.
Knowledge of information security standards related to software deployment and infrastructure protection; experience managing firewalls and VPNs is preferred.
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field; professional certifications in Atlassian tools or systems engineering are advantageous.
