Job description

Take ownership of the design, development, testing, and deployment of software across the team
Drive engineering improvements and communicate the principles behind our work clearly to the wider team
Lead conversations around software systems and contribute meaningfully to wider architectural discussions
Support estimation and planning activities, challenging requirements and fostering creative solutions where needed
Evolve systems towards target state architecture through thoughtful refactoring and delivery prioritisation
Mentor and support junior engineers, helping raise the technical bar across the team
Contribute to a well-defined software development lifecycle that supports planning, prioritisation, and delivery

Requirements

5+ years experience as a Full Stack Engineer in a professional, fast-paced environment
Strong frontend skills including React, Redux, TypeScript, HTML5, and CSS3
Solid backend experience with Java
Proficient working with RESTful APIs, GraphQL, and WebSockets
Strong database knowledge across both SQL and NoSQL
Hands-on experience with AWS services including Lambda, Fargate, API Gateway, and AppSync
Familiar with microservices architecture, containerisation, and Infrastructure as Code using Terraform
Experienced with CI/CD pipelines and source control using Git
Comfortable working in Agile cross-functional delivery teams alongside BAs and Product Owners
Excellent attention to detail, strong analytical skills, and a proactive approach to continuous improvement
