Router

US Foods is seeking a senior Router to lead daily route planning for our high-volume wholesale foodservice distribution. In this role, you will design and optimize delivery routes to ensure on-time, cost-effective service for restaurant, healthcare, and hospitality customers. You will analyze order volumes, delivery windows, and fleet capacity to balance efficiency with customer promises, while supporting a performance-driven and safety-focused culture. Partner closely with transportation, warehouse, and sales teams to resolve routing issues, track KPIs, and continuously improve routing strategies that keep our customers and drivers successful., * Design and optimize daily delivery routes for wholesale foodservice customers

• Analyze order volumes, time windows, and fleet capacity to maximize efficiency and service
• Adjust routes in real time to address exceptions, traffic, and customer changes
• Collaborate with transportation, warehouse, and sales teams to align routing with operational needs
• Monitor routing KPIs such as on-time delivery, miles, and cost per stop
• Ensure compliance with DOT/HOS and company safety standards in route design
• Use TMS and routing software to create, maintain, and improve route plans
• Identify and implement continuous improvement opportunities in routing and delivery patterns
• Provide guidance and support to dispatchers and drivers on route details
• Document routing standards and contribute to best-practice playbooks for the site
