IT Service Engineer

As an IT Service Engineer, you are one of the primary points of contact for employees across sites in Antwerp and Ghent. You provide IT support, ensure incidents are resolved efficiently and contribute to the continuous improvement of IT services.Your responsibilities include:

• Providing first- and second-line support via phone, Teams and on-site assistance
• Registering, following up and resolving incidents and service requests through the ticketing system
• Acting as the link between end users, the business and external IT partners
• Monitoring escalated incidents and ensuring timely resolution
• Supporting workplace technologies including laptops, smartphones, printers, Windows environments and Microsoft applications
• Managing IT onboarding for new employees
• Supporting operational systems and hardware used within terminal operations
• Participating in IT projects and improvement initiatives
• Working in line with security and information security guidelines, including ISO 27001 and NIS2 principles

You will be based mainly in the Antwerp port area, with regular visits to other locations, including Ghent.

We are looking for a service-oriented professional who enjoys helping colleagues and taking ownership of issues from start to finish.You bring:

• A Bachelor’s degree in IT or equivalent experience
• Fluency in Dutch and a good command of English, both spoken and written
• Experience within an IT Support, IT Service Desk or IT Service Engineer role, although motivated junior profiles are also welcome
• Knowledge of Microsoft 365, Azure and Microsoft Office
• Hands-on experience with Windows workstations, LAN/Wi-Fi environments, printers and end-user support
• A valid driving licence and willingness to travel between sites
