Java Developer

Insight Global’s client is looking for developers to join the team, too many initiatives and not enough engineers all related to the digital experience. These are critical applications for the business. There are deployments every day and sometimes these developers will have to be online to help with these deployments at 8 pm. There is a team of about 20, so the responsibility is shared

On a day to day this person will be responsible for

Building Java microservices

Investigating production issues

Reviewing application metrics

Optimizing backend performance

Supporting cloud deployments

Working with architects and product teams, work with front end engineers, operations team.

5-7 years of experience Strong Java Backend (they are on 8 and moving to 17) and Spring Boot experience.

-Should have solid understanding CPU and memory optimization techniques

-Should have experience with NodeJs or Python FAST API.

-Fine tuning, performance, etc.

-Microservices experience

-Python

-Monitoring tools/Observability tools- Spunk or Grafana

-Cloud experience -they use GCP, but they are okay with any cloud.

-Kafka

-Rest API’s

-CICD Any GEN AI exposure or Graph QL

-Database experience - PostGres, MySQL, Oracle
