Network Administrator

Join a dynamic team supporting the Commonwealth of Virginia as a Network Administrator in a hybrid role based in Richmond. This position offers an excellent opportunity for a mid-level network professional to manage and optimize enterprise-wide network infrastructure across multiple court facilities. The role involves hands-on WAN and LAN management, SD-WAN operations, network security, and field service responsibilities, including installation, troubleshooting, and site visits. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to ensure robust, secure, and reliable network operations, adhering to change management and security protocols. This is a contract opportunity with potential for extension and growth within a critical public sector environment.

• 5+ years of network/WAN administration experience in multi-site enterprise environments
• Strong Cisco networking skills, including IOS/NX-OS, routing, switching, VLANs, STP, EtherChannel, OSPF, BGP, EIGRP
• Hands-on experience with Cisco SD-WAN (vManage, vSmart, vEdge)
• Expertise in network security using Cisco ISE, firewalls/VPNs; Duo/Zero Trust exposure
• CCNA certification; willingness to travel statewide in Virginia for onsite installs/troubleshooting
• Proficiency with monitoring tools such as ThousandEyes, SolarWinds/PRTG, Splunk
• Ability to perform field visits, hardware installations, and onsite support
• Excellent troubleshooting, documentation, and communication skills
• Ability to work independently and in a team environment
