Job description

Tech(x) seeks an entry level Android software developer to support U.S. Army DEVCOM C5ISR Center programs at Aberdeen Proving Ground, Maryland. The role involves software development in a multidisciplinary, collaborative environment. Responsibilities

Design and build applications for the Android platform.
Develop software applications, services, and systems.
Integrate software components into a complex software development environment.
Collaborate with team members to review architecture designs, system requirements, and code.
Work with external data sources and APIs.
Unit test code for robustness, including edge cases, usability, and reliability.
And all other duties as assigned.

Requirements

Must be skilled in the following areas:

One to two years of software development experience with a focus on Android; recent graduates are encouraged to apply.
Programming in Java, Kotlin, or C/C++.
Android development, including familiarity with the Android SDK, Android Studio, and the Android ecosystem.
Strong communication skills, the ability to learn independently, and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
U.S. citizenship., * prior Department of Defense experience.
Experience with Linux or Windows.
Familiarity with web applications or microservices development.
Familiarity with Army tactical equipment, including tactical radios, commercial off the shelf radios, handheld devices, and vehicle devices.
Knowledge of network management protocols and data models.
Familiarity with Agile software development processes.

Clearance:

Active security clearance.

Education and Experience:

Bachelor of Science or Master of Science in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or Mathematics.
One to two years of Android focused software development experience; recent graduates may apply.
