Job description

On-site in either Norfolk, VA or San Diego, CA or Honolulu, HI Our client seeks a Site Reliability Engineer to support the NMCI Service Management., * Ensure system reliability, scalability, and performance for critical applications and infrastructure.

Monitor and maintain system health, identifying and resolving issues proactively.
Implement and manage automated monitoring, alerting, and reporting tools.
Collaborate with development teams to ensure seamless deployment and integration.
Optimize system configurations and resource allocation for efficiency and cost-effectiveness.
Develop and maintain disaster recovery and business continuity plans.
Provide technical support and guidance to other team members.

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
5+ years of experience in Site Reliability Engineering or related roles.
Proven experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) and containerization technologies (Docker, Kubernetes).
Strong understanding of networking, storage, and security principles.
Experience with monitoring tools (Nagios, Prometheus, Grafana) and automation tools (Ansible, Terraform).
Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
Strong communication and collaboration skills., * Certifications such as AWS Certified Solutions Architect, Google Cloud Professional Engineer, or Microsoft Azure Solutions Architect.
Experience with DevOps practices and CI/CD pipelines.
Knowledge of infrastructure as code (IaC) principles.
