Senior IT Asset Governance & Policy Consultant

• Define, publish, and maintain the enterprise IT asset governance framework, including policy hierarchy, standards, procedures, control objectives, and decision rights.

• Develop and mature hardware lifecycle policy across receiving, identification, tagging, assignment, transfer, inventory, refresh, recovery, reuse, retirement, media sanitization, and disposal.

• Partner with hardware operations teams to establish minimum control and evidence requirements for laptops, desktops, mobile devices, servers, network equipment, storage, cloud-provisioned infrastructure, manufacturing and operational technology devices, and other governed asset classes.

• Plan and facilitate the IT Asset Governance forum, including agendas, decisions, escalations, accountability tracking, risk acceptance, and unresolved policy exceptions.

• Define lifecycle states, ownership expectations, refresh and end-of-life standards, and exception criteria in coordination with operational domain owners and configuration data governance.

• Align asset controls with CMMC, TISAX, NIST, ISO/IEC 19770, cybersecurity, privacy, financial control, and audit-evidence requirements.

• Partner with Cybersecurity, GRC, Procurement, Finance, Legal, Infrastructure, Client Platforms, Manufacturing IT, Cloud, ServiceNow, and suppliers to embed asset controls into existing delivery processes.

• Define policy compliance scorecards, control performance indicators, exception reporting, and executive-level risk reporting.

• Provide expert review and acceptance recommendations for partner deliverables related to ITAM governance, lifecycle controls, and operating model design.

• Ensure operational teams retain execution ownership while meeting enterprise standards, evidence, service-level, and remediation expectations.

• Lead periodic policy reviews, maturity assessments, corrective action planning, and continuous improvement priorities across the IT asset lifecycle.

• 8+ years of progressive experience in IT Asset Management (ITAM), hardware asset management (HAM), IT governance, infrastructure operations, cybersecurity controls, or related enterprise technology disciplines
• 3+ years in senior leadership, governance, service delivery, product ownership, or enterprise process roles with cross-functional accountability
• Experience establishing or significantly maturing enterprise ITAM/HAM policies and controls within large global organizations - IAITAM CHAMP certification
• Certified Software Asset Manager (CSAM)
• Certified IT Asset Manager (CITAM)
• ServiceNow HAM certification
• ITIL certification
• Experience with ServiceNow Asset Management and CMDB
• Knowledge of Flexera, Intune, SCCM, Jamf, procurement systems, and discovery tools
• Manufacturing IT and Operational Technology (OT) governance experience
• Strong financial acumen related to asset lifecycle optimization, warranties, TCO, and refresh planning
