Job description
We’re looking for a hands-on MarTech Manager to help MASH and our clients get more from their CRM, marketing automation, data and wider martech ecosystem. This is not a platform administration role. You’ll look at how the marketing engine works end to end, identify where technology or process is creating friction, recommend practical improvements, and then help make them happen.
You’ll work across CRM, marketing automation, integrations, campaign operations, analytics, tracking and reporting, helping connect systems so marketing teams can work more efficiently and make better decisions. You need to be comfortable moving between thinking and doing: bringing a clear point of view on what should change while being equally happy getting into the platforms, workflows and data yourself.
CRM & Marketing Automation
- Review existing CRM and marketing technology stacks and identify opportunities to simplify, integrate or improve them.
- Manage and optimise CRM and marketing automation platforms such as HubSpot, Salesforce Marketing Cloud, Marketo or equivalent.
- Build and optimise lead journeys, audience segments, automated workflows, forms, landing pages and email campaigns.
- Improve lead management, database structure, segmentation and handover between marketing and sales.
- Troubleshoot platform and integration issues and support the implementation of new tools where required.
Campaign Operations & Digital Infrastructure
- Set up, test, launch and optimise digital marketing campaigns and associated workflows.
- Ensure campaigns, forms, pixels, links, audiences and tracking are configured correctly.
- Support website, CMS and landing-page improvements where required
- Work with marketing teams to improve on-page SEO fundamentals, including metadata, headings, internal linking, page structure and content optimisation.
- Make sure marketing activity is measurable and connected across systems.
- Work with marketing teams and specialists to ensure technology supports campaign delivery rather than slowing it down
Data, Reporting & Optimisation
- Establish useful KPIs and reporting across CRM, campaigns, website and lead-generation activity.
- Build and maintain practical dashboards using tools such as GA4, Google Tag Manager and Looker Studio.
- Analyse marketing and customer data and turn it into clear, actionable recommendations.
- Identify gaps in tracking, attribution or data quality and help resolve them.
- Use performance data to identify where processes, campaigns or technology can be improved.
Automation, AI & Process Improvement
- Identify repetitive or fragmented marketing processes that can be simplified or automated.
- Build workflows connecting marketing platforms, teams and data using tools such as Zapier, Make or equivalent.
- Explore practical uses of AI-enabled marketing tools that improve speed, personalisation or effectiveness.
- Document systems and workflows so they are scalable, repeatable and easy for teams to use.
- Stay curious about emerging tools, but recommend technology based on genuine business value rather than novelty.
Requirements
- You bring 6+ years of experience across marketing operations, CRM, marketing automation, MarTech, digital marketing or a related discipline.
- You have worked across more than one organisation, client or marketing environment and are comfortable adapting to different technology stacks and ways of working.
- You have strong hands-on experience with platforms such as HubSpot, Salesforce Marketing Cloud, Marketo or similar.
- You are confident with marketing analytics and tracking tools such as GA4, Google Tag Manager and Looker Studio.
- You have practical experience with workflow and integration tools such as Zapier, Make or equivalent.
- You have a solid working understanding of SEO fundamentals, including on-page optimisation, technical SEO basics, keyword performance and organic traffic analysis.
- You understand the broader digital marketing ecosystem, including websites, email, paid media, lead generation and campaign analytics, without necessarily needing to be the channel specialist executing all of them.
- You can assess a marketing technology problem, recommend a sensible solution and then help implement it.
- You are comfortable interpreting marketing and customer data and explaining what it means to non-technical stakeholders.
- Experience using AI-enabled tools within marketing workflows is highly valuable.
- Basic HTML/CSS knowledge is useful.
- You can work independently, troubleshoot problems and make sound decisions without needing constant direction.
- You are commercially minded, curious and proactive, with a natural instinct to improve how things work.
