You’ll join a select team driving the modernization of a cross-cutting Design System used by thousands across education, justice, culture, and more. Our client is embarking on a strategic overhaul of their Design System, targeting technological independence and future-proofing their application ecosystem. Your work will directly enable the migration from PrimeNG to proprietary, accessible components and the upgrade to Angular 22, impacting dozens of business applications and thousands of users. This is a mission-critical project where your expertise will drive digital accessibility, performance, and sustainable innovation for the public good. What You’ll Be Doing

• Collaborate within a focused team of three developers, working closely with the Team Leader, Frontend Architect, and UX/UI specialists.
• Develop, rewrite, and optimize Angular components using semantic HTML5 and Angular CDK, replacing all runtime dependencies on PrimeNG.
• Upgrade the Design System monorepo to Angular 22, leveraging the latest framework features (permanent Zoneless, advanced reactive signals, compiler optimizations).
• Ensure strict compliance with digital accessibility standards (WCAG 2.1 level AA) and enterprise coding standards.
• Maintain and enhance technical documentation and software architecture in line with migration and functional specifications.
• Drive code quality through clean code practices, SOLID principles, and maintainability.
• Organize and execute refactoring, removing obsolete dependencies and simplifying codebases.
• Develop and validate comprehensive unit tests (Vitest) in a zoneless environment to guarantee high coverage and non-regression.
• Validate deployment and packaging (ng-packagr under Bun), ensuring seamless integration in showcase and consuming applications.
• Participate in cross-code reviews and contribute to continuous improvement of development practices.
• Communicate proactively with project stakeholders, providing transparent updates and supporting agile work breakdown and tracking.

• Proven experience as a Frontend Developer with advanced Angular expertise (Angular 14+; Angular 22 a strong plus).
• Deep understanding of Angular CDK, component architecture, and scalable Design Systems.
• Mastery of semantic HTML5 and modern web APIs, with a strong focus on accessibility (WCAG 2.1 level AA).
• Demonstrated ability to apply clean code, SOLID, and DRY principles in complex codebases.
• Hands-on experience with unit testing frameworks (Vitest, JSDOM) and zoneless mode testing.
• Strong TypeScript skills and familiarity with monorepo architectures.
• Track record of optimizing code for performance (response time, memory management, OnPush lifecycle).
• Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments, collaborating with multidisciplinary teams.
• Ownership mindset: proactive, solution-oriented, and committed to delivering impact.
• Excellent communication skills, able to provide clear feedback and collaborate across roles.
• Ability to work in a hybrid model, with at least 50% on-site presence in Brussels.
